2009 Women's DIII News All-America Team (PDF)
Named the Women's DIII News Preseason Player of the Year in October, Jessica McEntee added an impressive bookend to her senior season when she was named the publication's Player of the Year. The 5-11 senior captain was also selected as a First Team All-American.
“As our Preseason Player of the Year, Jessica had the opportunity to keep this honor with her play this season, and she did,” Women's DIII News Editor Gary Rubin said. “There were many outstanding candidates for this award, but her performance all season long in one of the toughest leagues in the country showed she is the most deserving.”
In addition to this latest honor, McEntee became just the second player to earn University Athletic Association (UAA) Player of the Year accolades three times and became the first Violet tabbed as the D3Hoops.com East Region Player of the Year.
McEntee was also named a First Team All-American by D3Hoops.com for the second consecutive season and also earned a spot on the NCAA Division III State Farm Coaches' All-America Basketball Team, making her an eight-time All-American.
