Former NYC Heat player Jessica McEntee named Div 3 Player of the Year

2009 Women's DIII News All-America Team (PDF)

Named the Women's DIII News Preseason Player of the Year in October, Jessica McEntee added an impressive bookend to her senior season when she was named the publication's Player of the Year.  The 5-11 senior captain was also selected as a First Team All-American.

“As our Preseason Player of the Year, Jessica had the opportunity to keep this honor with her play this season, and she did,” Women's DIII News Editor Gary Rubin said. “There were many outstanding candidates for this award, but her performance all season long in one of the toughest leagues in the country showed she is the most deserving.”

Former NYC Heat player Rosalyn Gold-Onwude of Stanford University is going to the Final Four

Rosalyn Gold-Onwude, who played for Archbishop Molloy, scored two points, dished out eight assists and grabbed five rebounds in 37 minutes for No. 2 Stanford in a 74-53 win over No. 4 Iowa State Sunday night in the Berkeley Regional finals.
While at Stanford:

2008-09: Game-by-Game Stats ... Named Pac-10 All-Defensive Team honorable mention ... saw action in all 38 games, averaging 3.8 points a game, dishing out 90 assists and making 32 steals ... scored seven points, grabbed five rebounds and drained a pair of threes in season-opening win over Minnesota ... passed out five assist in win over New Mexico ... grabbed pair of boards and had two steals against Purdue ... nailed four three-pointers and scored 14 points to go with four assists against Iowa State ... passed out five assists and made three steals at Duke ... grabbed thre
